Final Drama experiment.

Hello everyone who is looking at my blog post. This will be my final drama class this year I have enjoyed doing drama what we did today was physical well-being I was scared at doing it at the start but then I was acting funny at the start.

Lexia Experience.

Kia ora everyone I have been doing Lexia for the last pass weeks now and I've been enjoying it so far my favourite part about Lexia is the spelling test because I like doing Lexi heaps because its really fun to do.

Learning Story.

Hello, everyone, I'm gonna be talking about my learning story. Since term 1 we started to do science this year it has been an amazing term this year. My favourite part this year for science was the skittles experiment it was really fun to do and my buddy was Jesse from 7/8BH too.

Here is what I've been writing about.

	For the last weeks I’ve been doing science. My favourite experiment was rainbow paper. What you need to do for it is get filter paper and a cup and water based felt pens then you need to draw a line 1mm from the bottom and 2mm from the top. On the line 1 mm from the bottom you need to draw medium sized dots from the water based felt pens then you need to fold the top part of the 2mm line backwards and put it  over the cup. Then wait for the water to soak into the paper ad the water will make the colours spread upwards then the colours will go together and it will make a cool looking rainbow. And I think we did a good job. My second favourite one was Skittles. The reason why I liked this one was because the colours were amazing and after we finished doing it we got to eat them. Today for Drama

My group and I are gonna be doing physical well-being. We all got a part to do in it. Cody is gonna be walking and seeing if we do a good job. Saia is gonna be digging sand.

Josh is gonna be doing star jumps and I'm gonna be doing press up we don't know how long is gonna be doing it for. I think we will be doing to for 3 minutes or something like that I'm nervous about doing it because I don't like sharing in front of people but yeah that's all, for now, please leave a comment down below bye now.

What is that white powder?

Today you will be a forensic chemist. 

A bag of white powder has been confiscated by the airport customs.  You need to find out what white powder it is?

Aim: To learn about the makeup of different white powders.

There are a number of different white powders in our everyday life. Some of these are harmful and others are not. Test the four white powders listed to see which one has been found at the airport.

Here are some examples of everyday kitchen white powders.

Flour, Cornflour, Sugar, Salt, Baking Soda, Baking Powder, Icing Sugar, Tartaric Acid

Citric Acid, Gluten Free flour

You will be given a small amount of 4 white powders on your cardboard. On the black cardboard using a magnifying glass look at the powders.

Look at them under your magnifying glass and record what you see. 

These are the four powders we will be using. Upload a photo of each powder. 

1.  Cornflour
2.  Baking Soda
3.  Salt
4.  Sugar 

Before you add the iodine, vinegar or water you will need to divide each powder into 3.

Materials
1. Citric Acid.
2. Icing Sugar.
3.  Baking. 
4. Raro.
5.  Ziplock Bag.

Steps
1. Get all the ingredients.
2. Get a piece of A4 paper
3. Cut it into 4 squares.
4. Write on the top of the piece of the names and what you put them in.
5. Put the ingredients on them, Sugar, Baking Soda, Salt, Cornflour.  you have to split them into 3 even groups
6. Put a little bit of the ingredients on the piece of paper.
7. See the result after the work is complete. 

Findings:

Vinegar	Spread.	Saggy.	Bubble.	Nothing.

Write a paragraph about your findings. It looks weird when it was changing but it looked alright, Tai and Josh were helping me it looked alright at the end.

Drama Experiment.

Today we had drama and we had to have a talk about our freeze frame my group already finished that. Now my group is thinking about doing something to do with sports and physical well being.

Me Josh, Saia, and Cody were all talking about what we should do we all think that we are gonna do physical well being. I wasn't here on Tuesday but today we are doing physical. On Friday next week, we are gonna perform our performance and hopefully, we do well.

Planing For Community Impact Project.

What I'm gonna be talking about is my planning for the community impact project. I'm gonna be planning how to make sure our community is clean at all times. it will be a lot easier if people can pick up their rubbish after them.

Some of the year 7 and 8 classes are gonna be working together so we can make sure our community is clean and that we pick our rubbish after ourselves. That's why we are gonna try to clean our community. So it is clear and so the sea animals don't die by eating plastic bag. CIP

Today we are gonna be working on designing a native bird made of trash cans and bottles. I gonna be designing a kiwi because that's a native bird, it will be helpful if we try to make something out of a trash bin. Some of the year 7s and 8s are gonna be working on this too.

I think that it's a good a idea to be working on the art that can show that Hornby high school is a caring school that have creative ideas. I Josh and Vin are gonna be working on this project. The reason why I choose a kiwi was that I think it was a good idea because a kiwi is a native bird and that some of them don't live that long as what humans do.

Community Impact Project.

Today we were talking about picking up rubbish and making it into a creative project that is made of trash. What I'm thinking about is making a ball. The reason why are doing this is because our community is clean and that there's no rubbish around last year a group of year 9s was picking up rubbish. I'm gonna try help the community by picking up rubbish when I see rubbish.

In our own words, what is the project? the project is picking up rubbish.
How much rubbish do we think are going to collect. Why do you think that? I think we are gonna try to collect heaps.
What colours do you think we will see the most? I think we will see white and black.
what type of art would you like to create? I wanna create a ball.

First, let start with his son's name, his son's full name is Gekyume Onfroy he was born 3 days after his dads birthday 23 January 199 it as so sad because he only died at the age of 20. But now his son has been born and the name the was created me his father.
