Skittles Experiment.

Today for science we had to do a experiment what had to do with skittles. It was really fun doing this experiment, it was hard trying to short it out but after the experiment we got to eat the skit








Aim: To separate colours by using the process of chromatography.


Definition: A technique for separating the different parts of a mixture / solid using liquid.

Rainbow paper

Materials;

1. Cup. 
2. Filter Paper. 
3. Water.
4. Paper.
5. Colours.
6. Felts.

Process:

Step 1: Draw the lines.
Step 2: Get the colours black,green,red.
Step 3: Put it  on the filter paper.
Step 4: Put it in the cup.
Step 5: Put some water in it.
Step 6: See the reaction. 

Findings: Write about what happened.

Reflection: What have I learnt from this experiment?

Skittles

Aim: To separate colours by using the process of chromatography.

1. Skittles.
2. Petrie dish.
3.  Water.

Process:

Step 1: Put the skittles in the Petrie dish.
Step 2: Put the water on the Petrie dish.
Step 3: Put the cover over the Petrie dish.
Step 4: Watch the skittles.
Step 5: The colours will slowly come out of the skittles.
Step 6: Take photos.

Findings: Write about what happened. It changed and it made a triangle.

Reflection: What have I learnt from this experiment? It changed a lot.

What did the colours do? It made a triangle on each side. It taste yummy.
